Craft & Groom Your Dream Brows at Home: A Step-by-Step Guide

Beauty portrait of woman wearing natural makeup

Eyebrows are the unsung heroes of the face. They frame your features, enhance your expressions, and can even play a role in how youthful you appear. But achieving those perfect brows doesn't require a trip to the salon. With the right tools and a little know-how, you can craft and groom your ideal brows from the comfort of your home.

This guide will walk you through everything you need to know, including shaping for your face shape and utilizing a brow dream team:

  • Our Clear Brow Soap: This innovative formula boasts the best of both worlds - intense hold that lasts all day and a clear, residue-free finish. Enriched with organic olive oil, it tames even the most stubborn hairs while leaving your brows looking naturally full and defined.

  • Precise Tweezers: Your trusty tweezers are essential for shaping and maintaining your brows. Choose a pair with a sharp, slanted tip for optimal control and accuracy.

  • Clear Eyebrow Gel: This finishing touch sets your brows in place and keeps them looking polished throughout the day.

  • Dual-Tip Automatic Brow Pencil: This multi-tasking marvel allows you to build and sculpt your brows with one convenient tool. The angled tip deposits long-lasting, natural-looking color, while the spoolie on the other end seamlessly blends and softens the finish.

Shaping Your Brows for Your Face Shape:

Before you dive into grooming, consider your face shape. Here's a basic guide to finding the ideal brow shape to complement your features:

eyebrows
Heart shaped Face

Oval Face:

  • Forehead: Slightly wider than the chin.

  • Jawline: Softly rounded.

  • Overall: Balanced, face is longer than it is wide.

You've got it going on! Oval faces can rock almost any brow shape, from soft arches to slightly angled brows.

Round Face:

  • Forehead & Jawline: Rounded with similar width.

  • Cheekbones: Widest part of the face.

  • Overall: Length and width of face are about equal.

Opt for brows with a definite angle to elongate your face. A defined arch will add structure and balance.

Heart-Shaped Face:

  • Forehead: Widest part of the face.

  • Cheekbones: High and may be prominent.

  • Chin: Narrow and pointed.

  • Overall: Face tapers downward towards the chin.

Soften the pointed chin of a heart-shaped face with curved brows. Avoid sharp angles that can emphasize the pointedness.

Square Face:

  • Forehead, Cheekbones, Jawline: Roughly the same width.

  • Jawline: Angular and well-defined.

  • Overall: Face has strong, defined lines.

Similar to round faces, angled brows with a softer arch will help soften the jawline.

The Step-by-Step Guide to Perfect Brows:

  1. Prep & Prime: Begin with clean, dry brows free of makeup. Brush your brows upwards with the spoolie end of your brow pencil to reveal their natural shape.

  2. Shape with Tweezers: Now comes the shaping. Use the spoolie to brush your brows upwards and identify stray hairs beyond your desired brow shape. Remember, "less is more" here! Pluck individual hairs with the point of your tweezers, following your natural brow shape.

Tip: For precise shaping, hold a brow shaping stencil (available online or at beauty stores) against your brow and lightly fill in the desired shape with an eyebrow pencil. This will highlight the hairs to be removed.

  1. Fill & Define: With your brow shaped, it's time to fill and define. Using the angled tip of your brow pencil, draw short, hair-like strokes in the direction of your natural hair growth. Start at the arch and work your way outwards, then inwards towards the bridge of your nose. Focus on sparse areas and aim for a natural-looking density.

  2. Set & Style: Brush through your brows again with the spoolie to blend the color you applied with the brow pencil. This will soften any harsh lines and create a more natural look. Finally, apply a light coat of clear brow gel to set your brows in place and ensure they stay picture-perfect all day long.

  3. Brow Soap (Optional): For an extra boost of hold and a fluffy, textured look, dampen your spoolie slightly and brush it across the brow soap. Then, brush it through your brows, shaping them into your desired style. The brow soap will hold your hairs in place all day without leaving any unwanted residue.
